The 20 physical cores describe the system, not the size of one IBM i logical partition (LPAR). Use the additional cores across the required IBM i, AIX, Linux, and VIOS partitions.
Choose ERGR four-core or ERGR eight-core if native IBM i I/O is required.

These rPerf ratings describe the complete twenty-core, two-socket configuration. They are not ratings for one four-core IBM i partition.
The configuration CPW references differ: 123,400 in the processor-options table and 124,500 in the overview. Neither replaces the four-core, 118,200 CPW IBM i partition limit above.

S1122 software and management requirements
Match the installed OS release and I/O arrangement to the selected processor feature. HMC v11 requires a 7063-CR2 appliance or virtual HMC; the 7063-CR1 cannot manage Power 11.

Compare S1122 ERGQ 20-core configurations
The 10-core ERGQ uses one socket at the same clock range. This 20-core configuration adds a second module for the overall workload; it does not enlarge an individual IBM i partition beyond four cores.
