About Midland

A buying guide from Midland Information Systems

MidlandInfosys.net is owned and published by Midland Information Systems, Inc. We sell and support IBM Power Systems and help organizations plan AS400 and IBM i upgrades.

This guide brings model comparisons and configuration details together so you can narrow the options before requesting a quote. You work with the same Midland team through this site and MidlandInfoSys.com.

Compare the details that change your upgrade

A model name alone does not tell you how a system will fit your workload. Our model and configuration pages help you compare:

• Processor features and physical cores alongside IBM i CPW performance.
• IBM i partition limits and software requirements.
• Memory and storage options for the selected model.
• Adapter and expansion requirements that affect an upgrade.

Start with the Power Systems model guide or the Power 11 comparison. For storage planning, use our FlashSystem comparison.

For example, a processor's physical core count and the cores available to an IBM i partition can be different. The configuration pages keep those limits beside the performance figures so you can compare the capacity your workload can actually use.

Our guide and our company catalog

MidlandInfosys.net helps you compare systems and plan a configuration. It connects model differences with processor details, parts options and upgrade considerations.

MidlandInfoSys.com is our company product catalog for hardware and software. The same business stands behind both websites, and our team handles product questions and quotes from either one.

From a comparison to a configuration quote

Send us the model or configuration you are considering and the work it needs to handle. For an upgrade, include the current machine type and model plus your operating-system release. We can then discuss the processor capacity, memory and usable storage the proposed system needs.

Pricing depends on the selected configuration and the equipment available for your order. Contact us for a quote covering the hardware and services you need.
