Compressed capacity assumes data that compresses at the stated ratio. Encrypted or already compressed backup data may stay close to native capacity. Keep a readable drive and the original backup application available for every retained tape generation.
TS2260 attachment and installation
The 3580-H6S is an external standalone SAS drive. Confirm the server adapter, connector and cable length against the installed drive before ordering; a connector that fits does not establish host support.

TS2260 USB option
Features 5760 and 5761 provide a USB 3.0 option in the published Windows and Red Hat Enterprise Linux configurations. This option does not establish IBM i attachment through USB. Order the host-specific drive and cable configuration.
