S1122 ERGR IBM i configuration
ERGR supports native IBM i I/O, virtualized I/O, or both. The four-core restricted-I/O partition rule for other S1122 processor features does not apply to ERGR.
This eight-core configuration uses a four-core ERGR module in each socket. Its CPW and rPerf ratings describe the complete two-socket system.

S1122 management and availability
- Chipkill memory and active memory mirroring.
- Redundant hot-plug power and cooling.
- eBMC management, processor instruction retry, and dynamic processor deallocation.

S1122 software and management requirements
Match the installed OS release and I/O arrangement to the selected processor feature. HMC v11 requires a 7063-CR2 appliance or virtual HMC; the 7063-CR1 cannot manage Power 11.
