A SIEM that uses machine learning, generative AI, or both for one or more tasks such as detection, triage, investigation, or response.
AI-powered SIEM is the broadest common label for a security information and event management platform with AI features. The AI may support anomaly detection, alert summaries, natural-language search, investigation guidance, or response recommendations.
The term does not prove that AI is central to the platform. A conventional SIEM with one useful AI feature can accurately be called AI-powered. Buyers still need to verify which tasks use AI and what evidence, controls, and measurable work reduction those features provide.
AI-powered, AI-based, AI-driven, and AI-native SIEM overlap in vendor language. The capability and operating controls matter more than the adjective.
