The Storwize V3700 was IBM's entry-level virtualized SAN storage system, the smaller sibling to the V7000, aimed at smaller AS400/IBM i and Power Systems shops that needed SAN-attached, virtualized storage without V7000-scale capacity or cost. It was discontinued on the same date as the rest of the Storwize line, February 12, 2020, with IBM FlashSystem as the successor product family across every tier.
A V3700 environment planning a refresh typically fits a smaller-tier current FlashSystem model rather than the larger FlashSystem 7600/9600 class that a V7000 workload would map to; exact model sizing depends on current capacity and IOPS requirements. As with the V7000, existing V3700 installations may still be under support depending on current firmware level, so that is worth confirming before treating a refresh as urgent.
